Vertical tube (spiral tube) evaporator is a type of evaporator where the refrigerant evaporates inside the tube, and the evaporator is immersed in the refrigerant tank. These two types of evaporators can only be used in open cycle systems, and the refrigerant must be non-volatile, such as saltwater and water. To ensure that the refrigerant circulates at a certain speed inside the box, longitudinal partitions are welded and a spiral stirrer is installed inside the box. The flow rate of the refrigerant is 0.3-0.7m/s to enhance heat transfer. 


 The vertical evaporator evaporator discharge pipe is installed in a rectangular metal box. Each group of evaporative exhaust pipes is composed of two horizontal headers, upper and lower, and multiple heat transfer pipes connected between them. Due to the different types of heat transfer pipes, there are two types of evaporative exhaust pipes: straight pipe and spiral pipe. A liquid separator is welded at one end of the upper manifold, and a straight pipe is connected to the lower manifold at its lower end to allow the unevaporated liquid refrigerant to flow back to the lower manifold for further absorption and evaporation. One end of the lower manifold is welded with a straight pipe that communicates with the oil collector outside the box through the box wall, in order to release lubricating oil. Above the liquid separator of the evaporation discharge pipe, there is a return gas collection pipe connected to each group of evaporation discharge pipes, and above the middle of the evaporation discharge pipe, there is a liquid supply collection pipe connected to each discharge pipe. One end of the box is equipped with a saltwater mixer to force saltwater to flow inside the box and improve heat transfer efficiency. There is an overflow pipe on the upper part of the water tank end wall. There is a drainage pipe interface at the bottom of the box for releasing saltwater during maintenance.
